Dorm placement rubric

Point spread:
Terror-Byte Silver/Aichi blue: 0-30 Points
Crimson Shadow Orange/Kai red: 31-50 Points
Utopia Ray Gold/Masaki grey: 51-70 Points
Neo Galaxy Eyes Neon/Ren pink: 71-80 Points

Testing For Placement/Dorm Advancement:
Testing for placement/advancement within dorms will go as follows
Must duel with at least five academy members three of which must be a member of the dorm which you wish to enter for advancement, three of which you must win. For placement, Must duel five times against five different academy members to be determined at Headmasters/Chancellors Discretion(s). A person applying for initial placement must win the following number of duels to be placed in a particular dorm.

Terror-Byte Silver/Aichi blue: 0-1
Crimson Shadow Orange/Kai red: 2-3
Utopia Ray Gold/Masaki grey: 3-4 (with exceptional skill level)
Neo Galaxy Eyes Neon/Ren pink: 4 or more (Or must display excellent dueling skill throughout testing)

The testing may be stopped at anytime if either the headmaster or one of his chancellors feels that the person applying for placement or advancement shows exceptional to excellent skill to be placed right away without further testing. Also someone applying for dorm advancement must have the necessary amount of points to be able to apply.

Note: It is good to have more than you need as it will allow you to be tested first before everyone else.

Points are awarded on a regular basis based on the duels you participate in and your win-loss record. These duels can be played on DN as well as in locals, Regionals, YCS as well as the world tournament play. Point spread is as follows:

Participation: 5-8 Points
Win: 7-12 Points

Tournament Duel Participation

Duel Participation: 10 Points
Win: 14 Points
Top Duel Participation: 17 Points
Top Duel Win: 20 Points

Additional points are awarded for winning a tournament based on what kind of tournament it was a member participated in and won.
Local: 15 Points
Regional: 25 Points
YCS: 40 Points
World Championship Tournament: 75 Points

On the Vanguard Side the point award system will go like this for winning the following tournaments.

The testing rubric above for the Yu-Gi-Oh! side of the academy applies to this. The only difference is the dorms setting. Same rules apply for placement into specific dorms as well. The point system is also to be applied in the same way.

PostSubject: Testing for dual players   TESTING RUBRIC EmptyFri Dec 14, 2012 10:36 pm

Again here the same placement/advancement and points system applies. There are however a few key differences for dual players that need to be noted.

A.) Regardless of which side of the academy you are on (Unless you are in dorms on both sides of the academy) you must be able to be tested for both Yu-Gi-Oh! and Vanguard in order to advance in dorms.

B.) This one applies to those who are in two different dorms due to the special rules in place for those who started in this academy playing one game and started playing the other after placement or advancement. Dorm levels must be matched up on both sides in a timely fashion. Players in this category will have six months to equalize themselves in both games and may not advance in dorms on the side of the academy in which they are in a higher dorm until there is full equalization. Failure or inability to work your way through the dorms on the side which you are lower on will result in removal from that side of the academy. If you are removed from your dorm on that side of the academy you must wait one month before re-entry and must also pay 100 locator cards in order to be retested for re-entry.

PostSubject: Dorm Promotion Points System   TESTING RUBRIC EmptyThu Dec 27, 2012 8:43 pm

As for the dorm promotion points system in place there is a new little field added to everyone's profile. The only ones allowed to make modifications to this field. This will keep everything fair as well as impartial for all members of the academy. Keep dueling and racking them up. Also these fields will be updated for all new members as testing duels on DN also count for dorm promotion points. Always remember to have fun and be respectful of everyone students, teachers, moderators, admins, chancellors, vice chancellors, and the Head Master alike.

One thing and I have noticed this. NO use of tier 1 or 2 decks currently of the Meta game Everyone at tournaments uses these and prevents everyone from assessing true skill. Use something original when being tested for dorm placement as this will help in assessing your true skill level and will help whoever is testing you for placement. It's just easier for us this way. Nothing against the current meta-game but again we have to be able to assess where you really belong.

Alright. We are going full force with the testing rubric. As of this posting we have 28 registered members. Read over it carefully. Any new members from here on out who are not willing to comply with this rubric in a timely manner will be taken off or held for testing until compliance is met.

Sincerely,
TCHill (Chillkun), Vice Chancellor Yu-Gi-Oh!
